NHRA National Dragster All-Star Team Fan Favorite: John Force
Even though it’s been a few years since his 16th and most recent Funny Car championship, fans still turn out in droves and sometimes exclusively to see and root for the sport’s GOAT, John Force, who was named Fan Favorite by voters in the NHRA National Dragster All-Star Team balloting.
Force, who began his career decades ago as an also-ran, steadily and purposefully climbed the ladders of success and popularity and remains NHRA’s winningest racer with 155 national event wins. He has competed in a record 852 NHRA events and has a 1,442-671 record in elimination rounds in a Hall of Fame career, and he also helped create superstar drivers from the John Force Racing stable in daughters Ashley, Brittany, and Courtney, as well as Robert Hight, Austin Prock, Tony Pedregon, and the late Eric Medlen.
Pro Stock champ Erica Enders, popular Top Fuel driver Clay Millican, and feisty Ford favorite Bob Tasca III finished just behind Force in the voting.
