It was a family affair in round one as Collier faced off with his nephew Koy taking the win with a holeshot and a near perfect 7.004 on the 7.01 dial-in, in a double breakout. He then ended reigning NHRA Lucas Oil World Champion Austin William’s day in round two in another close one as Collier took the early lead and held on to advance.

In the semifinal, Collier beat out Bob Gulitti for the right to face off with David Latino of Donaldsonville, La., for the Moser Sportsman Shootout Championship trophy. The pair left the line together with Collier laying down a 7.021 second run on his 7.02 dial for the win to Latino’s 6.567 (6.52).
