D H Davies Racing and Josh Hart begin collaborative racing effort

D H Davies Racing, led by Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown team owner and driver David Davies, and Josh Hart, driver of the R+L Carriers Top Fuel dragster and owner of Burnyzz Speed Shop in Ocala, Florida, solidified their racing relationship. The relationship will center around Hart’s move into the Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown Series under the DHDR umbrella as well as Davies’ interest in developing racing opportunities in other classes.
“Josh and I have been talking about building a racing relationship since the end of last season,” said Davies. “He is a life-long Dodge guy who bought a Factory Stock Dodge Challenger when they were first released but never raced it. I suggested he give it a go in 2025 with the support of DHDR and I am excited about that opportunity. We have also talked about some other racing endeavors for the future but right now we are focusing on the Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown Series.”
Hart repped D H Davies Racing during the recent Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals. Hart’s first outing in the Burnyzz Speed Shop Dodge was hampered by the inclement weather but Hart is looking forward to the upcoming 4-Wide Nationals in Charlotte to make a more representative debut. Hart, with extensive experience in Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Fuel, quickly adapted to his new Factory Stock race car, but expects to benefit from additional seat time. Hart is also looking forward to gathering more data from Davies and the DHDR racing operation.
“I have been watching the Factory Stock class, and this was just the perfect time to make the move with the help and direction of David,” said Hart. “We have had several great conversations about a lot of directions we can both grow and build our respective teams.”
DHDR also supports Madi Turley in their Driver Development Program. “We’re excited to continue to have Madi part of our team. With new power last year and some additional enhancements to her car this year she’ll certainly be a force to be reckoned with,” said Davies.
In addition, DHDR is scheduled to attend the historic Bonneville Speed Week [Aug. 2-8] this year with Davies piloting a car that has been under development for two years.
“It’s been a long road, and we’re excited to get out on the salt this year to go after a land speed record,” said Davies. “We have a great team of partners including Wesley Motorsports, HemiTuner Performance, Kevin Helms, Whipple Superchargers, and E3 Spark Plugs and we’re looking forward to showcasing the result of their hard work and support.”
