Racetech launches Contingency program for its seats at American Rebel Light NHRA 4-Wide Nationals

In the spirit of our founding principles, the National Hot Rod Association is proud to announce a new safety-focused contingency partnership with Racetech seats, launching this weekend, April 25–27, at the 2025 American Rebel Light NHRA 4-Wide Nationals at zMAX Dragway in Concord, North Carolina. This partnership is a continuation of the NHRA's legacy—as before, we were dedicated to Speed for All, we were "Dedicated to Safety" as envisioned by NHRA founder Wally Parks.
“Racetech’s engineering philosophy reflects the same values that define NHRA racing: innovation, reliability, and resilience under pressure,” said Brian Oleshak, Racetech USA’s Vice President of Sales. “We’re honored to support NHRA racers by enhancing safety and offering meaningful rewards to those who make it to the finals.”
For more than 30 years, Racetech has been developing world-class motorsport seating from its home in New Zealand, providing advanced protection and ergonomic support for champions in circuit racing, rally, off-road, and now drag racing. Racetech’s FIA-homologated composite and carbon-fiber seats meet the highest international safety standards.
Through its Contingency program, Racetech aims to elevate driver safety while rewarding racers who invest in FIA-certified racing seats designed for the highest levels of protection and performance. Racetech USA has committed over $30,000 in potential contingency payouts for the 2025 NHRA season. Eligible categories include:
- Stock Eliminator
- Super Stock
- Super Gas
- Super Street
- Top Sportsman
- Factory Stock Showdown (including OEM Drag Pak and Cobra Jet)
- Factory X
- Pro Mod
To qualify, competitors must run Racetech seats and display the official Racetech decals on both sides of their vehicle. Decals will be available at the NHRA Tech Trailer beginning this weekend in Charlotte.
