Jackson off to a "fast" start in Pro Mod career
Stevie “Fast” Jackson joined NHRA reporter Lewis Bloom via Skype in the Wally Parks NHRA Studio delivered by Papa John’s to talk about the start of his NHRA J&A Service Pro Mod Drag Racing Series career.
Jackson burst on to the NHRA scene from the eighth-mile radial tire world earlier this season, starting No. 1 in his debut at the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals. Unfortunately, he broke a transmission in round one of that event. At the next stop in Houston, Jackson failed to qualify, and recently in Charlotte, he suffered another first-round loss.
Success finally came in Atlanta, where he raced to the final round before losing on a holeshot to Mike Castellana. Jackson talked about his experience racing NHRA for the first time and the response by his fan base and the NHRA community. He also talked about using his practice Tree in preparation for the next stop on the 91 Pro Mod tour in Topeka and the rules changes in effect for the event for supercharged race cars.
