Don Schumacher Racing (DSR) successfully raised more than $32,000 for Riley Children’s Foundation during their annual ‘This is How We Roll’ bowling event presented by USA Compression at Western Bowl in Indianapolis on December 6.

With 100-percent of the event’s proceeds benefitting Riley Children’s Foundation, DSR exceeded its fundraising goal of $30,000 and surpassed last year’s contribution of nearly $23,000. The 2017 ‘This is How We Roll’ event resulted in a year-to-date contribution of more than $106,000to Riley Children’s Foundation.

The ceremonial ‘first roll’ kicked off the evening’s festivities, which included three games of the popular ‘no tap’ style bowling, a 50/50 raffle and a chance for local NHRA fans to mingle with their favorite drivers.

With a turnout of more than 300 fans, friends and Riley families, Western Bowl’s 80 lanes were jam-packed.

The Brownsburg-based team has a long history with Riley Kids, having raised more than $500,000 for the organization over the past 12 years. The annual bowling event is just one of the many ways the championship race team supports the local Indianapolis children’s hospital.

Megan Schumacher, Vice President of Don Schumacher Racing, said, “We live, work, and play here in Indy so it’s important to all of us at DSR that we use our public platform to give back to our community. In fact, we've had quite a few employee’s families and relatives that have been helped by Riley Hospital for Children.”

“We’re always looking for ways to support this wonderful local cause, and love having the opportunity to spend time with kids during their time at Riley.”
