The inaugural Holley EFI Factory X title will be decided in Las Vegas and the series first champion will be either Greg or Aaron Stanfield or Lenny Lottig.

Heading into the final event of the season, the Ford NHRA Las Vegas Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Aaron Stanfield holds a sizable lead over his father, Greg, while Lottig remains mathematically in the running. Aaron Stanfield, who already has three titles in the FlexJet 91°µÍø Factory Stock Showdown, and is a contender for the Mission Foods 91°µÍø Pro Stock crown, has 494 points while father, Greg, has 437. Lottig is a longshot with 431 points.

Essentially, Aaron Stanfield doesn’t need to do much more than qualify in order to clinch the title. A round one loss would give him 494 points meaning Greg would need to win the event in order to pass him. Lottig can boost his score to 511 points with a win in a full field, so he will be out of the running of Aaron Stanfield wins just one elimination round.

There were eight events this season in the Holley EFI Factory X class featuring low seven second late model muscle cars from Chevrolet, Ford, and Dodge. Following a successful exhibition launch in 2023, the series made its official debut at the 4-Wide event in Las Vegas where Greg Stanfield defeated Alex Laughlin in the final round.

Greg Stanfield also scored wins in Chicago and the most recent event in Dallas while Aaron visited the winner’s circle at the Charlotte 4-Wide race as well as St. Louis, and the U.S. Nationals. Lottig has remained in the hunt with a victory at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals in Norwalk as well as runner-up finishes in Charlotte and Indy.

The 91°µÍø Ford Performance Nationals also brings with it the possibility of history as there is heightened anticipation of the first official six-second run for Factory X competitors. At the most recent event in Dallas, several cars were in the 7.0-second range and Jesse Alexandra set low elapsed time of the weekend with a 7.009-second run in his Camaro.
